Custer County, Colorado
Watercolor 13” X 18”
Every summer for many years we've gone to a cabin on the slope of the Sangre de Christo Mountains. Just above the cabin, in what is becoming an Aspen grove, are many pieces of abandoned farm equipment from the late 1800’s. I have photographed many of them, knowing that I wanted to do something with them. Finally, this painting seemed to fall into place. It is a close up of a part of one of the pieces of equipment. I think there will be several other works similar to this in the future.
